The theme for the 2023 Scarecrow Competition was Saints and Sinners.
A total of 11 scarecrows were entered and villagers were given a week to view them. Maps of their positions around Neroche villages were available in St Peter's Church along with voting forms.
The votes were counted and the results announced at a barbecue, held in the church grounds. Luckily the weather stayed fine for those enjoying food and drinks outdoors.
Overall results:
1st place - The Hand of God by John and Karen Learoyd and Carole Wensley-Dodd
2nd place - Vladimir Pukin by Harry and Millie Parsons
3rd place - Sherwood's Saint and Sinner by Maya and Theo Lewis
Children's awards:
